JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE OFFICER
REPORTS TO: Housing Officer
RESPONSIBLE FOR: To undertake planned maintenance and respond to
repairs within Sonas properties. Working with clients, employees, and
contractors to ensure Sonas properties are maintained to the highest
quality.
LOCATION: Sonas locations across Dublin region
HOURS OF WORK: * hours per week, Monday –
Friday 9am – 5pm
SALARY: Salary will be € *, **Apply on the
website** in line with the HSE Pay Scale. Applicants will be entitled
to * days annual leave.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Ensuring that Sonas properties and grounds are maintained to an
excellent standard.
* Ensuring all works undertaken are in accordance with health and
safety standards.
* Reporting and logging all completed repairs to the Housing Officer
on a daily basis.
* Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance and repairs including
carpentry, painting, and decorating, plastering, maintaining light
fittings and undertake minor electrical works, minor plumbing works,
gutter cleaning and repairs, mending railings and fence works, minor
door and window repairs, window and path cleaning, minor concrete and
masonry repairs, routine alarm testing etc.
* Responsible for following fire safety checks, water testing for
legionella, visual and PAT testing of electrical portable appliances
and equipment
* Ensuring all maintenance work is undertaken and completed in
accordance with the work order target completion times.
* Ordering materials and ensuring all paperwork and delivery dockets
are processed in accordance with Sonas policies.
* Prioritizing and planning workload in line with response times
framework.
* Undertaking risk assessments to ensure any site-specific safety
requirements are adhered to and that all works are undertaken in a
safe manner.
* Keeping the company vehicle in a safe and clean condition and
ensuring the vehicle maintenance requirements are adhered to.
* Keeping tools and equipment in good and safe order. Reporting any
damaged or defective equipment immediately to the Housing Manager
* Attending staff meetings as may be required.
* Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in respect of
issues pertaining to work.
* Maintain a high standard of work performance, professionalism,
attendance, appearance, and punctuality at all times.
* Ensure good working relationships are maintained at all times with
colleagues and others with whom the employee comes in contact at work.
* Participate in supervision and performance management processes.
* Any other duties as may be assigned by the Housing Officer.
